Creme Savers
Creme Savers is a brand of hard candy first introduced in 1996 by Nabisco. It is a spinoff of Life Savers, offering creamy flavors in contrast to Life Savers' traditional fruit flavors with a hole in the center. The original lineup of Creme Savers included a variety of flavors, such as fruit, tropical, and dessert-swirled blends. However, the candy was discontinued in 2011.
After being off the shelves for a decade, a viral tweet in August 2021 about the candy's absence sparked a conversation, leading to the announcement of the brand's revival. Iconic Candy, a company known for bringing back discontinued candies, partnered with Mars Wrigley to reformulate the original flavor profiles of Creme Savers. This collaboration reintroduced two popular flavors: Strawberries & Creme and Orange & Creme.
The revived Creme Savers became available exclusively at Big Lots in mid-September 2021, with plans to expand to other retailers. The candy's nostalgic appeal and the efforts of fans on social media played a significant role in its successful comeback. Today, Creme Savers can be found in various package sizes at retailers such as GON, Riverfront Gifts, or Candy Retailer, to name a few!
