Chewing Gum
Chewing gum has historical roots tracing back thousands of years. Civilizations, including the ancient Greeks, Mayans, Chinese, Eskimos, and Native Americans, have records of using some form of chewing gum. Modern chewing gum, however, began to take shape in the mid-1800s in the United States.
The commercial production of chewing gum started in 1848 with John B. Curtis, who created and sold what was known as The State of Maine Pure Spruce Gum. This product was made from the resin of spruce trees. Since then, the chewing gum industry has expanded significantly, introducing a variety of flavors and brands.
Chewing gum comes in many brands and flavors today, including sugar-free options. Some top brands available include Cobalt, Beemans, Black Jack, Clove, Dentyne, 5 Gum, Mentos, Trident, and Wrigleys. You can now find all these brands and more here at Grab Our Nuts!
